This is a nice summary by Greg Hoy over A List Apart on closing deals with clients. Be selective with your potentials. I couldn’t agree more. Been doing freelancing stuffs for 3 years taught me a lot too.
In many cases, the customer is not the same person as he/she was by the middle or end of a project. Objectives sometimes vanished or targets moved.
In the end the one who suffers is you!
